  • Hello there! Karibu!  My name is Sarah Olory. And I am thrilled that you are on this page!
  • I was born in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and lived most of my life in that sun-filled city. I came to the US and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology focusing on Clinical Counseling and Research. I am currently pursuing a Master’s in Business Administration with the express hope of starting my own companies here in the US and in Tanzania.
  • I am an avid believer in empowering others through knowledge! As a health professional, I care greatly about raising awareness on a wide range of health-related issues. Two primary areas that I am currently focusing on are the malaria pandemic that claims the lives of hundreds of thousands of our children every year AND the matter of mental disabilities which are present in the Tanzanian community but often misunderstood. It has been said that "To not have your suffering recognized is an almost unbearable form of violence." (Anonymous).
  • As a diaspora of Tanzania, am passionate about being involved and giving back to our homeland in every way possible. I truly believe that extraordinary changes can happen in Africa if each of us chooses to do a small part. Hence, my desire participate in the Miss Tanzania USA pageant! I am convinced that being Miss Tanzania USA 2017 will be an excellent platform to raise awareness and launch programs that will educate and empower our communities on these important issues. I am thankful for the opportunity that you will give me through YOUR votes!!
